Pool is Finally Closed for Summer.

We closed out the summer with raft night.. We were the only ones who showed up with rafts which were really boats. so we had boat races.. The kids had a blast!

One More Lake Trip to Close Out the Summer. Fish! Fish! Fish!

We stayed for almost a week.  Trevor fished three-four times a day so this is just a sample of the catches he made.  He used just about every lure in his tackle box and lost several hooks in the trees.  We lost his favorite in a tree and a kind fisherman looked for it since he had a boat.  When he was unsuccessful he gave Trevor one of his own - the look on his face was priceless.  All three of us each managed to catch a big catfish in addition to sunnies and blue gills.  They were finally brave enough to jump in the lake and swim as well.  We had great weather and they had a fabulous time! 

  

 Heather's favorite activity was "saving" all the baby dragonflies and singing to them.  She collected quite the family.

We also hit the Dollar General in Mineral - Heather was extremely excited to find this hat.

Our cousin Madeline had never been fishing so Trevor made it his priority to show her the ropes.  She seemed to enjoy the experience.

Lake Trip with Friends.

Libby was kind enough to let us use her place and for us to have friends visit with us as well so off to the lake we went!  The kids had a great time fishing and swimming.  The fish were just hopping on the poles and the kids were loving it.  The weather was perfect.  Great group of memories with great friends!
