Saturday was a Visit to the Moonbounce Park

Heather and Trevor crashed some kid's birthday party and had a great time. They sold open play during the party to defray their costs. I got to sit on a bench and read a book since Trevor is finally big enough that he felt comfortable to go the entire course on his own. Heather was great at keeping him close to her side as usual!

After our Saturday Out We Went to Red Robin

To celebrate two great report cards from my tiny geniuses, we took them to our new Seven Corners Red Robin! It was actually quite painless. The service was great, the kids were great, the food was great and they got milkshakes and balloons as well. We shall return Red Robin, we shall return!

I'm Apparently a Boot Camp Letter Writing "whore"....

We had a "reunion" of some of the old high school party clique. It was a lot of fun to see Mike J., Muhammad and Anna (yes I know we see them often), Sam, Chico, Mike F., and Andy. As we reminisced about old times, I found out I had a habit of writing letters to friends at boot camp. The problem with this was that I apparently covered the envelopes not only in lipstick kisses, but a lot of perfume as well....I was the hit of the mail delivery since I found out my letters were handed out to every man in the unit to sniff before the lucky individual would finally receive my letters. I must admit I did not recall any of this until Andy reminded me, and then Mike said something about getting letters from me (which then started some arguing amongst letter receivers), and then I had a flashback of Jay getting letters from me. I'm happy to report that all my letters were just friendly tone, but they all thought I was the only one writing to them in this special way. One of the guys girlfriends turns to me and says, you were just a boot camp letter writing whore, weren't you?! I guess I was....to this day I still like to mail letters.....so....SWAK - watch out if you go to boot camp because I will apparently mail you some smelly envelopes!

Trevor's Parent-Teacher Conf was Today

I found out he's been fibbing and he does in fact interact with the kids in school, does talk during show and tell and does have friends. All good things to know since Trevor has continued to maintain that he says nothing in school. They told me he needs to work on holding a crayon properly, stop running in class and look people in the eyes when he's speaking to them. We'll keep working on him!

Friday Started Out as a Disaster.

Driving to work in the skateboard, my car started acting up so I ended up leaving early to rush it home (at 40 MPH because that was the highest I could go) to Eric for repairs. Turns out it needed sparkplugs - Eric to the rescue - yet another reminder to those not married, find one that fixes cars - it will pay dividends! My honey fixed the car and meanwhile I used the extra time to create several batches of cupcakes for Heather's school winter dance/cake walk that evening. I got suckered into facepainting. Little did I know what I was in for. I was mobbed and ended up spending the entire time painting little faces. Did you know sixth graders carry I-phones?! They used them to look up Steelers logos for me to paint on their faces. I managed to get the job done and every kid seemed to be pleased with whatever got put on their faces - the oddest request....lady, can you draw a water bottle on my face?! Eric was a massive help watching Heather and Trevor as they bopped around the gym dancing, hula hooping and whatever else went on in there - I never made it past the facepainting station! Heather won an item from the cake walk. Trevor sobbed because this was the second year in a row he lost.
