Waterslide is Back in Business!

Yesterday was hot, hot, hot! Time for the waterslide to come out!

Visited Lake Anna this weekend.

Kids had a great time. We got to ride in the new paddleboat several times (and found some turtles) that Tom and Renie got, went on a boat ride, got cotton candy at a festival the lake was having, swam at the beach, went fishing!

Last Night Trevor Styled His Hair....

Trevor came downstairs around 10pm to use the bathroom. After about 15 minutes, Eric and I started wondering what the heck was going on in there. We questioned him a few times and were informed he was just "going pee pee". When he finally emerged, Eric asked him why his hair was wet. I swung around and noticed his hair was sticking up at crazy angles. I touched his hair and it was all sticky and smelling weird. I asked him if he put lip balm in his hair. No Mommy, he said. I dragged him into the bathroom and asked him to show me what he put in his hair. He pointed to the shampoo and then told me how great it looked. So off to the sink we went. After 8 rinses I finally got it all out. I told Eric it could be much worse! It could have been scissors. I think everyone of us cut our own hair at some point much to my mother's dismay!

Saturday was a Visit to the Baltimore Aquarium.

They liked the jellyfish exhibit.

Got to try on some costumes.

Treated me to a puppet show.

We decided to avoid a day of rain at home and went to the Baltimore Aquarium. We had timed tickets at 9:15 - got in at 9:00 a.m. and toured the sights. Kids also went to their first 4-D film featuring Dora and Diego. Heather loved it but said it was really short - it was - 10 min tops. Trevor hated being squirted by water and with each squirt, started losing it and panicking and huddling under my sweater. They liked when it snowed on them and the bubbles. We were home by 1:00 p.m.

Another School Field Trip - this one to the National Zoo.

Mother's Day was putt-putt and a lovely lunch.

A Visit to the Hidden Pond Nature Center.

Kids had a great time. They played on the playground, led a hunt of salamanders under the playground equipment, fed snapping turtles hot dog buns and visited the center to see the frogs, crayfish, minnows, snakes, spiders, turtles, shrimp and more!
