More Snow!

Its recess so I took a snow day and took the kiddos sledding for the last hurrah of winter. We were the only ones out and thus the kids didn't like that they had to make their own sledding path.  They spent most of the time rolling down the hill.  Heather buried herself in the snow.

There is a New Trampoline Park in Springfield!

We joined with our friends and went to check it out - its called Flight Zone.  The price is very reasonable and you don't have to pay if you aren't jumping.  Our one issue is the front desk is very confusing and not set up well.  Inside it was pretty awesome and a bit overwhelming but they seemed to control the number of kids per group and thus it wasn't so bad.  The kids had a great time!

Heather Turned 11 - We Took Her to Medieval Times

Heather awoke on birthday morning and put on her special outfit that she had prepped bedside for over a week with a post-it that said birthday shirt.  I let her put purple in part of her hair since it was such a special day and Trevor insisted on green in his.  We let her pick one classmate to take with us and she picked her best friend since kindergarten Samantha. Off we headed to Arundel Mills, MD!  We announced along the way when we went into Maryland as a month prior Trevor was in tears because his family could not go to another state without him - it was too dangerous!! (his words).  Trevor learned that Maryland wasn't that bad.  In addition to the various contests the knights perform, there is also a falcon named Willow that flies around the arena over the audience. They was enthralled.  Trevor unfortunately saw the Bass Pro Shops sign and thus could not focus for the rest of the time.  He kept asking when is this thing going to end?!  I have to get to the pro shop! Our team was the yellow knight.  He won several contests and kept throwing his carnations he received from the Princess to Heather and Samantha.  They were so excited.  Once the food arrived, the girls ate most of it (they passed on the tomato soup).  Trevor refused as he "only eats with a fork" which was news to me as he is constantly eating with his hands at home!  Afterwards Trevor got to visit Bass Pro Shop.  Once it warms up we plan to invite everyone over to the House of Chaos for cake!

Several More Snow Storms!

Well the kiddos can't say they didn't get any snow this year!  They've gotten quite good at building snow forts.  The one below was their first attempt.  I ended up adding the sled and some cardboard on the top because they kept digging and digging and I was freaked out it would cave in on them.  They've missed tons of school but most of the days have fallen during recess or the government has been closed so its worked out - every time the government is closed Eric gets off too.  I still get to truck into work.  The all wheel drive car is earning its money now!
