The 12 Days of Christmas

Eric relayed me this story and I thought I should document it so I don't forget!  They were all riding in the car and the 12 days of Christmas came on.  Heather and Trevor were singing away.  Heather then pauses and says the following:

H: why would anyone put a bird in their pantry?!
E: what are you talking about?
H: the partridge.
E: what about the partridge?
H: the partridge is in the pantry.  Why is a bird in your pantry?  Who would put a bird in the pantry?!
E: PEAR TREE.
H: OHH - that makes more sense!  What about the french hens.
T: They are from France Heather - DUH
E: No they are a type of birds.
H: Do they speak French?
E: No.
H: This song makes no sense.

Its Christmas Time at the House of Chaos - Everyone is Merry!

We've started our cookie making blitz - expect treats in the mail!  Happy holiday's everyone!

Fishing at Lake Anna in November - its never too cold to fish!

Thanksgiving was a Hit. Trevor Likes Turkey!

Swim Class Every Saturday

Heather is in level 5.  Trevor is in pee wee level 2 and has had to repeat it a few times but is finally being promoted to level 3.  I've actually been pretty pleased with him in level 2 because he has been so busy making friends and reaching out the the new boys and that is quite a milestone for him.  The socialization therapy is finally kicking in and he is breaking out of his shell and emerging as an independent little boy!  I think its also helped that I don't allow either kid to be at the other's swim class so he's forced to engage somewhere else other then what his sister is doing. We are going to have Heather repeat level 5 so she builds up her stamina.  She can backstroke, butterfly, etc.  She just wears out quickly and there are a lot of bigger kids in her class and they tend of mow her over in the lanes.

Helping Mama Work the Polls on Election Day!

I volunteered for the Virginia Republican Party and handed out Romney/Ryan sample ballots.  The kids got to join me for a bit and were so excited to help.  It was nice to have them there - our district is heavy on the Ds and they couldn't yell at two cuties asking them to take their paper!
