The kiddos just love going here and seeing what they can find.  Its always a new adventure.  There are beavers there that have flooded out the whole front of the boardwalk - its interesting to see how its changed the whole rest of the park.  Apparently there are now otters there so we have been going frequently to search for them.  They watched this snapping turtle come out and eat leaves for a good 25 minutes - it was so funny to see the number of little kids who just sat there and watched in silence as the turtle came out again and again for another bite!

We went to the 4-H fair and carnival!

We hiked, hiked, hiked!

We did several trips to the Petting Zoo.

We visited Lake Fairfax to beat the heat.

Then my car died - Eric tried to piece it together for about three weeks.

Then we had to give up and get another one.
