Tom and Renie were kind enough to let us borrow their place. 6 adults and 5 kids and not a hitch - we consider that a resounding success! The heat was almost unbearable but we spent a majority of the time in the water. The water was so hot it was like swimming in a bath tub! We also took Alee waterskiing thanks to Dan, Steve and Dad. He ended up pulling a muscle but was able to get up in the water. Trevor caught several fish. At night it was the great toad hunt. This was a big hit with Trevor. He asked every night if it was time to go hunting.

Visited Leesburg Animal Park - nothing like Reston!
The kids enjoyed going in and getting mobbed by the animals but the wagon ride is a complete waste. It takes you to the pond and you feed fish. That's it - you see no animals on it. Trevor did, however, enjoy the fish frenzy! The playground is full of bees nests so I wouldn't let them play there. They liked the moonbounce.

Saturday Afternoon Was Putt-Putting at Upton Hills.
This one was a hit - there is a lot of shade and a waterfall runs throughout it. Its not far from our house. The kids really enjoyed this one. There is also a waterpark there but last year when I took them they didn't like the bucket dumping all over them so I've decided they aren't ready for it yet. P.S. Heather dressed herself - right down to the mismatched flip flops.

Tried a new Putt-Putt - Perils of the Lost Jungle.
Heather loved it and is already begging to go back. Trevor was terrified the entire time and refused to golf. I don't recommend it for little ones. There was another little boy there having an equally difficult time making it through. There are squirting "poisonous" frogs, things trying to break out of boxes, an alligator that growls and squirts and more. It was pretty cool when the tomb door closed and we had to hit a button to open the door, but Trevor just was NOT tolerating any of it.
